The Peacekeeping English Project worked closely with government ministries in order to establish secure and impartial English language testing systems for the military, border guards and police.
One of our main objectives was to foster a common understanding of military testing to NATO STANAG 6001 standards.
The Project also provided training for testers and established national language testing teams.
From 2003 to 2009 the Peacekeeping English Project organised three major international testing conferences.
Trained testers from the Project have:
- been involved in the European Commission's DIALANG Project.
- designed online language tests for the British Council's in2English website in China.
- carried out testing consultancies for NATO and the Royal Norwegian Armed Forces.
- given presentations at major international conferences - including BILC, IATEFL and EALTA.
