A Teachers Association forum in Latin America

Aims:
- to promote and widen the cooperation between Teacher Associations (TAs) throughout the Latin America region - to provide a forum for TAs to present their regional work in order to attract interest from governments, NGOs and prospective sponsors - to maximise the opportunity for TAs to understand the wider vision of their work through discussion with TESOL and IATEFL representatives - to strengthen the ties of TAs whose focus is either in the private or public sector of English language teaching - to promote regular ongoing TA exchange through the BC ELT community website and other activities

Resource Pack for Intercultural Competence

Aims:
- to produce an ELT Resource Pack providing practical activities for teachers in Latin America as a tool for understanding other cultures - to produce ELT materials designed to build teachers' awareness of different needs in the language learner’s environment in Latin America - to produce ELT materials for learning in a citizenship education context and to promote social awareness in Latin American students and teachers.
The research and piloting of activities will also assist Latin American teachers in dealing with multicultural classes.
