WELCOME TO ENGLAND-AFRICA PARTNERSHIPS IN HIGHER EDUCATION
England-Africa Partnerships (EAP) is funded by the UK Department for Innovation Universities and Skills (DIUS). It is a programme specifically for higher education partnerships between England and sub-Saharan Africa, which aims to help develop and strengthen capacity in African higher education.
Two rounds of projects were selected during September 2006 and March 2007 resulting in support for 32 EAP projects: 11 in South Africa and 21 throughout the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa. Projects are focussed upon many diverse themes, such as health, climate change, and agriculture, however all have a common aim to build capacity at the African partner institutions and address key areas of need for Africa and African higher education.
You can find out more about all the projects currently supported under EAP and how EAP projects are making a positive contribution to higher education in Africa.
