The British Council International Co-ordinators’ Course is designed to equip teachers around the world with the skills required to manage international school partnerships.
We offer two levels of the course – introduction and advanced - to suit teachers with different amounts of experience in this area. Each course lasts one day and is open to anyone who is setting up or managing a partnership with a school in another country. (Your school does not have to be participating in Connecting Classrooms, or any other programme managed by the British Council.)
The one-day introductory course is for teachers who are new to working in international school partnerships and covers:
- the role of an international co-ordinator
- an introduction to joint curriculum projects
- inter-cultural challenges
- building a team
- communicating a vision.
The one-day advanced course is for teachers who have some experience of working as the international co-ordinator for their school and covers:
- community engagement
