Helping your student move abroad for study or work can be daunting but they’ll find it a hugely rewarding experience, and have a lot of fun on the way. And the added bonus is that when they enter the job market, employers will consider this a very positive addition to their CV.
Time spent studying or working abroad develops a student’s personal skills. The independence they gain in taking full responsibility for themselves - from sorting out finances and finding accommodation, to keeping healthy and making the best of everyday life and work in an unfamiliar environment.
Be sure to check out the excellent exchange programmes available, many with a long history of academic excellence and warmly welcoming students from across the world.
It’s worth taking a look at the institutions where your student is planning to study. You may also find that the course fees are significantly lower than the equivalent would be in the UK, which could mean that your student will have a life-enhancing experience and even save money!
