Margaret Curran joined the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) in 2006 and since then has worked on a number of project areas including national qualifications development, e-assessment development, vocational education and training and consultancy work in Botswana. Most recently she joined the International Team of SQA to contribute to the delivery of SQA's International Strategy.
Prior to this she spent 11 years working in the private and public sectors before entering the education sector as a lecturer in Travel and Tourism. In 1995, she was posted on secondment to the Scottish Further Education Unit to develop and promote e-learning throughout the further education sector.
Margaret Curran received a postgraduate diploma in Business and Marketing from Glasgow Caledonian University, a Masters degree Tourism and a teaching qualification.
