Geoff Pine is Principal and Chief Executive of Greenwich Community College, a position he has held for 15 years. He has a background in education covering colleges, schools and the prison service, and a range of business interests in the entertainment industry. Previous positions include an advisor in business studies to the Inner London Education Authority, an examiner in Economics and a moderator for the Business Training and Education Council.
He is Board Member of Charlton Athletic Race Equality Partnership; Founding Board member of Gateway Employment - a not-for-profit company providing a way into work for local people; Chair of the joint Association of Colleges/British Council Iraq group, assisting in re-building the Iraq vocational education system; member of the AOC International Portfolio Group and London Region Marketing Committee; Chair of the British Council Vocational Education and Training Advisory Board; Trustee of the UK Council for International Student Affairs; member of the Actors Centre Board; Chair of the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival Board; and Chair of the Bird College in Bexley.
