Professor Weihe Zhong is Vice President of Academic and External Affairs of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China. In 1992 he graduated from Nanjng Normal University with BA and MA degree in English Language and Literature. He then obtained another MA degree in Interpreting and Translation Studies from the University of Westminster and a PhD in Translation Studies from Shanghai International Studies University. He is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Warwick, and Visiting Professor of California State University and Vice Chairman of the National Committee for MTI (Master of Translation and Interpreting) Education in China. He is also a member of the National Supervisory Committee for Foreign Languages Teaching for the Chinese Ministry of Education. He has been published extensively in interpreting and translation studies and also in higher education management.
