Ruth Moir was Head of the University’s Dubai campus before taking up her current appointment as Heriot-Watt’s Director of International Development. During a two year appointment in Dubai, Ruth was responsible for the management of the campus and has overseen a significant period of growth and development.

Ruth has worked in Higher Education since 1986 and was Academic Registrar at the Scottish College of Textiles and Heriot-Watt University from 1995 to 2001. As Director of Academic Services at Interactive University, Ruth was involved in a range of international education initiatives, working with the Scottish HE sector and international partners.

Brought up on the Wirral, Ruth graduated from Warwick University and later studied with the Open University for an MA in Education Management and Leadership.
