Dr Lorraine Watkins-Mathys is Head of the School of Business and Management at Buckinghamshire New University. Before taking up her post she worked in a number of UK universities, lecturing and researching in the areas of international strategic management and entrepreneurship. She has worked with many organisations including Veolia, Atkins, Dreams and the NHS, delivering work based programmes and management training designed to develop skills and managerial capabilities. Lorraine has worked on a number of collaborative arrangements with partners around the world including the CPD BRIDGE project with Saratov State Socio-Economic University. Dr Watkins-Mathys’ next research project, undertaken in collaboration with Ankara University, Warwick Business School and funded by the EU, will take her to Turkey to explore the opportunities for further developing small business and entrepreneurship education.
