Dr. Linda Yueh is an economist and commentator on economic and business issues. She is a fellow in economics at the University of Oxford, a visiting professor at the London Business School, and an associate of the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Previously, she had practiced law while resident in New York, Hong Kong and Beijing. Recent books include Macroeconomics (co-authored with Graeme Chamberlin) and Globalisation and Economic Growth in China (co-edited with Yang Yao). She serves as Editor of the Series on Economic Development and Growth book series for World Scientific Publishing, and guest editor of a forthcoming issue of the journal, World Development, on law, finance and economic growth in China. Dr. Yueh is an advisor to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on China and the World and as a member of the council on energy security, as well as the UK Society and Economy in 2030 scenarios project for the UK government’s Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS). She is a frequent media commentator, including for the BBC, CNBC, CNN, ITN and The Guardian, with recent pieces on the credit crunch, a new Bretton Woods and China in the 2008 financial crisis.
