Dr Dave Burnapp is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Northampton and a National Teaching Fellow. He has worked in education and development projects in Vanuatu, Zambia, Algeria, and China. He researches widely into the experiences of students and staff in relation to internationalisation of Higher Education. His research is typified by practical outcomes, in addition to publications, resulting in acculturation courses for international students, development workshops for academic staff, and training for supervisors of international research students. He has also recently researched employers’ awareness concerning recruitment of international students and graduates, and has collaborated with the HEA subject centre for Languages, Linguistics, and Area Studies to produce an online training pack for staff working with international students. Currently he is producing a study skills textbook for international students for the Open University Press.
