Dr Mitch Leventhal
Vice Provost for International Affairs, University of Cincinnati, USA

Dr. Mitch Leventhal. Mitch Leventhal assumed the position of Vice Provost for International Affairs a the University of Cincinnati in September 2005. He is the first person to hold this position. Mitch is responsible for strategic planning as well as UC’s international programs and services.

Mitch earned his doctorate from the University of Chicago, where he focused on international trade in educational services and educational entrepreneurship. He is regarded as a leading expert on higher education quality assurance and its relationship to educational and labor mobility. Before coming to UC, Mitch served as the president and director of the US subsidiary of IDP Education. Prior to IDP, he was the founding CEO of Technology Exchange (TechEx), a Yale University spin-off which is now the leading Internet-based exchange for buying and selling emerging biomedical, pharmaceutical and bio-technologies. He is also the co-founder of Planet Group, a multi-currency credit card payment solutions company, as well as Microstate Corporation, which developed Internet-based business solutions for financial services companies.

Mitch is founding Chairman and President of the American International Recruitment Council.

Dr Leventhal presented during session 2c - Debating agents’ secrets and the new American revolution: results from the world’s largest study of education agents.
