New directions in research co-operation with India – MP3

Outline:

This session will allow delegates to understand better:

  • New policies and opportunities across Indian research for encouraging foreign partnerships;
  • New India initiatives from the UK Research Councils;
  • Changing approaches of independent foundations

India wants to grow its high quality univeristy and research capacity and it is seeking foreign partnerships to support their strategies. A wide mix of foreign government and independent foundations are active in developing new areas and approaches to research cooperation. However the information available on initiavies and possible funding support is difficult to access; this session seeks to provide new clarity.
