A challenge that faces many governments worldwide is how to encourage citizens to start their own successful and sustainable businesses. In China, this is a particular challenge because of the rapid pace of economic development and the size of the country. However China has excelled in many areas of business, particularly in its online ventures which are continually growing in size and stature.
This session brings together two of China’s most successful online business talents to discuss how education can contribute to shaping the next generation of entrepreneur. Jack Zhang is CEO and founder of QQ, a popular social networking website in China, serving college students and young professionals in a real name based online environment. Liu Chang is Vice CEO of Tencent Holding (QQ.com), China’s largest and most used web portal. The session is chaired by award winning TV anchor and producer Ms Kathy Cui Yan, one of the most prominent figures in the business media company China Business Network (CBN).
