Guide to Information

Under section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act the British Council are obliged to adopt and maintain a publication scheme which has been approved by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

A publication scheme must specify classes of information that a public body publishes, the manner of which information is available and whether there will be a charge.

The British Council has adopted the model publication scheme created for non-departmental public bodies and have produced a guide to information that we publish.
