What's it all about?

Khazar University is offering a merit based scholarship for nationals of all countries for potential students at both an undergraduate (bachelor) and graduate (master and PhD) levels of study. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition for one academic year, and is subject to extension based on the academic performance of the student. Khazar University is the first private University in the South Caucasus that started implementing international education programmes with English language as a medium of instruction.

Khazar University is located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Baku is the capital and largest city in Azerbaijan and it's the scientific, cultural, and industrial centre of the country. It is described as the architectural cross between Paris and Dubai, blending East and West while rapidly modernising.

What does the scholarship cover?

The Khazar University International Scholarship Programme (KUISP) covers the cost of full tuition for one academic year, and is subject to extension for the entire period of study based on the academic performance of the grantee. The scholarship does not cover the cost of living, travel, or other expenses.

The successful applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Good academic performance records of the previous education stage 
  • Good English language skills. Standardised English language test scores are not compulsory. However, the applicants with standardised scores (valid TOEFL/IELTS scores: expired scores are not accepted) will have a competitive advantage. Holders of International Bachelor degree certificates or diplomas from a high school with English as a major medium of instruction do not need a language skill justification document.
  • Motivated to study at Khazar University
  • Good communication skills and sociability
