What's it all about?
The Bulgarian National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NAFTA) are launching a new summer academy called 'Rock the boat.'
Taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 12 -16 June 2017, 'rock the boat' is a entrepreneurship and leadership programme for the performing arts and creative industries sectors.
The aims of the summer academy are to:
- promote the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in the cultural sector
- increase participants' capabilities to be leaders of cultural projects and organisations in a strategic and international context
- help participants to apply business models, to create an intrapreneurial climate in a cultural organisation and to learn diverse methods of financing and fundraising
- connect theoretical discourses with the Bulgarian and international cultural practices
Why take part?
Developed by European educators and consultants, the programme combines topical presentations, interactive work and study visits to cultural organisations.
It's a chance for you to learn from highly recognised professionals in the field, take part in discussions and interactive work in smaller groups, as well as go on study visits to cultural institutions in the city of Sofia where NATFA has long-standing collaborations.
You'll also receive a certificate on completion of the course from NAFTA .
What does it cost?
You'll need to cover the cost of your travel to Sofia, accommodation during the summer academy and any visas and medical insurance.
There is also a participation fee of 380 Euro and if you register by 1 April that fee is 320 Euro.
The working language of the academy is English.
When is the deadline?
The deadline to submit your application and participation fee is 31 May 2017. Early bird registration and participant fee closes 1 April 2017.
