What: Glasgow Social Enterprise Trade Show
Where: Wasps Artists' Studios, The Briggait, 141 Bridgegate, Glasgow, G1 5HZ
When: 10 December, 12 - 5 p.m.
Featuring an exhibition and an engaging programme of activities and presentations, the inaugural Glasgow Social Enterprise Trade Show promises to be an attractive showcase for the vibrant and diverse social enterprises doing business for good in that city which have helped to make Scotland a global hub of social enterprise.
Billing itself as ‘a perfect opportunity for you to shop, chat, build business connections and find out what social enterprise means for our communities’, this free event will feature presentations by some of Scotland’s most inspiring and innovative social enterprises as well as fun, hands-on activities and a marketplace showcasing a wide range of products and services from local social enterprises.
The British Council is a proud sponsor of the event and Paula Woodman, the organisation’s Global Social Enterprise Advisor, will deliver a presentation on the opportunities for UK social entrepreneurs to trade and franchise internationally.
This session will feature the Scotland launch of a study – the first of its kind in the UK – conducted by the British Council and Social Enterprise UK, called Exporting Social Enterprise: A survey of overseas trade by UK social enterprises – and how to foster its growth.
