If your school is outside the UK and offers a British education, you can apply for the English Department for Education’s overseas accreditation.

Accreditation ensures that schools provide their pupils with the knowledge, skills and qualifications they need for the British education system, and parents can check the list of accredited schools. Approved by the Department for Education in England, inspectors carry out their work to the same standards as for independent schools in England and Wales.

You can find out more about the British schools overseas inspection scheme, or arrange an inspection for your school, on the British government services website.
