The British Council is seeking to appoint well qualified and experienced researchers to review the existing evidence of the impact of its work providing young people in the UK with an international experience, and to provide a strong conceptual framework to support implementation of the British Council’s ambition to ensure every young person in the UK, aged 4-30 years, has international experience.
The British Council has a long history of developing international opportunities for young people: promoting, supporting and facilitating outward mobility for UK pupils and students and inward study opportunities for people from overseas. As the UK government and the devolved governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland look to maintain and strengthen our influence in the world, the organisation is at the centre of debate and action on the contribution of international engagement to developing our next generation, and it is more important than ever to be informed by the evidence of what best practice there is in the design and delivery of opportunities for international experience for young people.
