A new EU-funded project is seeing the British Council support the development of a qualifications framework for primary and secondary education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Supporting the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the project is helping to contribute to the comparability of education systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina with education systems in the EU.

As well as a new qualifications framework, the project will provide recommendations for improving pre-service and in-service teacher education and will draft a Matura examination for pupils ending general secondary education.

The British Council is leading a consortium of partners to deliver the project, comprising GIZ (Germany) and White Young Green International (UK). The project will run until November 2016 and has a total value of over €1.8 million.
