Increasing female engagement in STEM in Ghana

Through a new project funded by the Vodafone Ghana Foundation, the British Council is helping to promote female education and increase women’s engagement in the science and technology sector in Ghana.

The Vodafone Scholar Project will provide full and partial scholarships to female high school and undergraduate students studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects who don’t have the financial means to pursue continued study.

Through the project, more than 100 Ghanaian students will be funded to study in their chosen field, empowering them to take the first step towards a future career in the STEM sector.
