At the end of February 2016 we were pleased to inform you that the consultant’s database (CMIS) was updated in order to make important enhancements to the system.
One major update is that we now require you to limit your selection to a maximum of three sectors and five sub-sectors for each on your CMIS profile.
As you know we regularly post alerts that give information on upcoming consultancy opportunities and invite consultants to submit an application directly to the commissioning British Council manager. Focusing on your areas of expertise means that you will only receive notifications for upcoming consultancy opportunities that are relevant to you.
How to update your profile
When you update your profile, we strongly recommend the following:
- Use either Chrome or Internet Explorer to access and update your CMIS profile; and
- Before updating sectors and sub-sectors, you should deselect your previous selections before updating your sector specialisms in accordance to the conditions above.
Consultants who do not comply with the conditions may find that they have exceeded the maximum number of selections, which will prevent their changes from being saved.
We appreciate that in the past this might have prevented some consultants from updating their profiles and apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused.
If you have any questions relating to the above, or would like to report any problems you are facing while updating your profile, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
