Please could you tell me how many Laptops, Mobile Phones and Tablets/iPads have been provided by your organisation to staff members as of 1st January 2015.

Thank you for your request for information dated 30 June 2015 concerning the number of laptops, mobile phones and tablets provided, to staff in the UK, as of 1 January 2015. Your request has been handled under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 and has been passed to me for reply.
I can confirm, under section 1 (1) (a) of the FOIA, that the British Council does hold some, but not all, of the information you have requested.
Since 1 January 2015 British Council has provided staff in the UK with 154 mobile phones and 7 laptops. The figure for mobile phones includes all new connections and upgrades, handset only orders, temporary replacements (which will be/have been returned) and replacements under warranty. It does not include SIM only contracts.
We do not have a corporate service offering tablets therefore we do not hold any information for that part of your request.
