Our non-formal education (NFE) programmes are all about creating positive pathways and opportunities for young people outside of formal learning spaces.

Our work

The NFE portfolio delivers exciting opportunities and positive pathways for young people who are 18-35 years old. Through these initiatives we aim to empower young people around the world to contribute to trust-building, cohesion and stability in their societies, and represent their communities on a local, regional and national stage.

Our global offer provides training to develop the skills, voice and networks young people need in order to lead enriched lives and participate in positive social and economic development. Our work will contribute to developing the core attributes of cultural relations connecting young people from around the world to important alliances and networks.

NFE delivers contracts on behalf of international donor organisations, working with a range of clients and partners. We also manage the British Council’s role as supplier on the FCDO’s Conflict, Stability and Security Framework (CSSF) contract.

Working with Partners

We work in connection and collaboration with global partners on the ground and relevant UK partners to form reciprocal positive partnerships. Find out more information on our experience in International Development and working with us.
