Experiment on an electrical component

The Learning Sectors programme is designed for learners from the ages of seven to sixteen in primary and secondary schools in the UK.

We will match your school with an international partner school in India or South Africa.  Learners will collaborate on activities with peers from another country, developing practical skills for STEM careers and learning how to be part of an international team.

Through a series of four webinars over three months, your partnership facilitator will help you and your partner school to get to know each other, and guide you on the project development journey.  They’ll complement this with advice, professional development and help with any questions. You will be able to choose from a flexible menu of activities and work with your partner teacher to develop a project that suits your own curriculum.

Students will be inspired by real-life examples of people working at Formula 1, seeing for themselves the wide range of career opportunities in STEM and the diverse backgrounds of professionals in those roles.

Teachers will join a group of educators from the UK and the partner country, taking part in the webinars together with the opportunity to share experience and effective practices.

At the end of your project, you will be invited to submit a report, and your school could win an unforgettable visit to the Silverstone Grand Prix to see just how far STEM skills could take your pupils.
