The University of Nottingham invites Going Global 2018 delegates to explore the campus facilities and receive an overview from this pioneering institution’s experience of branch campuses.
Founded in 2000, the University of Nottingham Malaysia was the first British University to have a fully-fledged international campus which offers a world-class British education.
Designed to reflect University Park Campus in Nottingham, it is a self-contained, vibrant village situated on an attractive and landscaped 125-acre site. The university has around 5,000 students and around 700 teaching and administrative staff from all over the world.
The University of Nottingham invites Going Global conference delegates to attend a campus tour to explore the campus facilities and receive an overview from this pioneering institution’s experience of branch campuses. The visit will include:
- Presentation on the university’s history, current issues and future plans;
- Overview of the university’s teaching partnerships (such as the World Bank project) and its research priorities;
- Student led campus tours.
The University of Nottingham has a strong track-record of partnership development and is open to new teaching and research partnerships across their three campuses in Malaysia, China and the UK.
How to get there
Delegates will be collected by coach from the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre at 08.30 on Wednesday 2 May 2018.
Light refreshments and lunch will be provided before returning to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in time for Going Global’s opening plenary.
Please be aware that there are only 100 spaces available for this campus tour and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
This campus tour is free of charge to attend for Going Global conference delegates.
