Berlin School of Economics and Law invites Going Global 2019 delegates to explore the Schoneberg campus and receive an overview of the university.
The HWR Berlin was founded in 2009. It grew out of the merger of two educational institutions: the Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft Berlin (FHW Berlin) and the Fachhochschule für Verwaltung und Rechtspflege Berlin (FHVR Berlin).
Now with a student body of over 11,000 students, the HWR Berlin is one of the German capital’s largest universities of applied sciences specialising in business and administration skills for the public and private sector, as well as public security, the law and engineering. It is renowned for its practice-oriented teaching, intensive and diverse research activities and strong international focus. More than 60 different study programmes are taught at the school’s two campuses in Berlin Schöneberg and Lichtenberg.
In order to provide an insight into the school’s unique work Going Global delegates are invited to attend a tour of the Schöneberg campus followed by a presentation and discussion with HWR Berlin’s Vice- President Professor Dr Claudius Ohder and Ingrid Sperber, Director of the school’s International Office. This will include:
- An introduction to the HWR Berlin and its work, with a particular focus on its international activities, strategy and current issues;
- Presentation of the Department of Police and Security Management - Short introduction to the Master of International Security Management;
- Presentation of the HWR Berlin Summer and Winter School Programme with Business and Law related courses.
How to get there
Delegates will be picked up at the bcc Berlin Congress Center by members of the school’s International Office and will travel together via public transport to the Schöneberg campus. Tea, coffee and light snacks will be served during the event. At the end of the event delegates will be accompanied back to the bcc Berlin Congress Center. Travel costs will be covered by HWR.
Please be aware that only 25 spaces are available for this campus tour and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
This campus tour is free of charge to attend for Going Global conference delegates.
