Through the Newton Professional Development and Engagement Programme, experts are sought to deliver workshops for the WorQ (HoW tO Write inteRnational Quality Publication) series, which aims to increase the capacity of Indonesian researchers to write for international publication.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks experts to deliver WoRQ workshops in three Indonesian cities (Medan, Semarang and Jakarta).

Building on the success of WoRQ in 2018, British Council in Indonesia is working with the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristek) to hold another WoRQ Workshop. WoRQ has already contributed significantly to supporting Indonesian researchers publishing in international Q1/Q2 journals. The activity provides technical knowledge for researchers in identifying suitable Q1 journals for their manuscripts, providing detailed inputs in substance, introducing better writing style and citing techniques.

The WoRQ workshop series will be held in Medan, Semarang and Jakarta. The 2-day workshop in each city will be led by two trainers from a UK International Journal or University-based journal that belongs to a Q1 or Q2 journal ranking group.  A one-on-one mentoring programme in the form of manuscript review of Indonesian researchers’ work is essential to this training.

Suppliers from UK/international Q1 or Q2 journals and/or academics that have successfully published articles on Q1 and Q2 journals and have strong relevant training experience are invited to apply.
