Consultant for Newton Fund training programme in India

About this opportunity

We are currently seeking consultants to develop and deliver a professional development programme in India under the Newton Bhabha Fund in partnership with IISER Pune.

The response deadline is the 07 November 2016 at 17.00 UK time.

The programme will consist of a series of training workshops for female scientists to help them become future leaders in science and technology. The workshops will provide training in the following three areas:

  1. Science Policy.
  2. Science Administration & Management.
  3. Science Journalism.

The programme will also raise awareness about varied career options in science,  will showcase work done by other female scientists, and provide access to professional networks in India and the UK.

As part of this activity, the successful supplier will be expected to carry out the following activities:

  1. Concept design and workshop curriculum development - engage UK and India experts from universities, research institutes and academies in a discussion meeting to develop the vision, concept, and curriculum for the new workshop series.
  2. Design and deliver training workshops. 
  3. Provide guidance and support for internships within the United Kingdom.

Experienced required

The successful bidder will possess relevant training experience preferably acquired in an international context.
