About this opportunity

We have grants for early career researchers (see Eligibility section) to attend a workshop in Colombia entitled 'Land Destitution, Inequality and Transitional Justice'.

Under the British Council Researcher Links scheme we will be holding a workshop on the above title between 25 and 28 of February 2015 at Javeriana University (Bogota). The workshop is being coordinated by Dr. Clara Sandoval, Founding member of the Essex Transitional Justice Network/School of Law at the University of Essex and Professor Roberto Vidal, Director of Pensar Institute at Javeriana University; and will have contributions from other leading researchers.

All travel, accommodation and meals will be covered by the grant.

This opportunity is open to early career researchers based in the UK and Colombia. There is no restriction on nationality.

Early career researchers are defined as holding a PhD (or having equivalent research experience) and having up to 10 years post-PhD research experience. They are equivalent to the ‘Recognised Researcher’ and sometimes ‘Experienced Researcher’ categories in the EU framework for researchers’ careers. Consideration will be given to researchers with more than 10 years post-doc experience that have taken extended career breaks.
