Researcher Links workshop in Brazil on sport

About this opportunity

We have grants for early career researchers (see Eligibility section) to attend a workshop in Brazil entitled 'Sport and Social Transformation in Brazil'.

Under the Researcher Links scheme offered within the Newton Fund, the British Council and Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo, FAPESP, will be holding a workshop on the above theme in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil on 10-13 March, 2015. The workshop is being coordinated by Prof. Simone Fullagar and A/Prof. Ricardo Uvinha, and will be supported by other leading researchers.

All travel and accommodation costs will be covered.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to early career researchers based in the UK and the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. There is no restriction on nationality.

Early career researchers are defined as holding a PhD (or having equivalent research experience) and having up to 10 years post-PhD research experience. They are equivalent to the ‘Recognised Researcher’ and sometimes ‘Experienced Researcher’ categories in the EU framework for researchers’ careers. Consideration will be given to researchers with more than 10 years post-doc experience that have taken extended career breaks.
