Key dates

Deadline for applications: Thursday 26 March 2015

World Bank higher education networking meeting: Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 May 2015

The World Bank is holding a meeting of their MENA Network. These are universities that have been involved with the World Bank institutional governance project that has been implemented over the last few years.  As a partner for the meeting, the British Council would like to invite experts from UK universities to speak at the meeting. As such, we would like to call for experts in the following fields to apply to take up the opportunity. The two key areas are:

  • Social accountability in higher education
  • Benchmarking institutional performance: developing quality assurance indicators; how to address national needs and external and internal quality assurance mechanisms

Academics and / or administrators from UK universities with extensive experience in either of the two key areas. This may involve planning, management and implementation as well as research and policy.

How to apply

Please send a one-page application outlining your current position and experience in one of the above areas and say why you would like to participate in the meeting.

Applications should be sent to sally.ward@britishcouncil.org by Thursday 26 March 2015.
