We are looking for a UK institution to conduct research, in partnership with the Ganja Agriculture University in Azerbaijan, on the collection of a genetic stock pertaining to the endangered varieties of agricultural crops in Azerbaijan. The research will incorporate the establishment of a gene pool, creation of new crop varieties, protection from disease and pests, as well as plant propagation in a laboratory environment.

Since its independence, the government of Azerbaijan has developed a National Education Strategy and a Strategic Roadmap for the development of the education system in order to meet international standards.
A new decree on Enhancing Competitiveness of Higher Education Institutions supporting study abroad programmes for PhD students, international research and dual degree programmes was passed in November 2018.
