People speaking at session at Going Global conference

Call for proposals

Opens: Wednesday 27 August 2014

Closes: Friday 31 October 2014

Connecting cultures, forging futures

Diverse cultures and ideas shape creative connections that reach across the world forming global networks. At the core of these connections sit universities and institutions of learning, anchoring and sustaining cultures, building and strengthening connections.

We propose the fusion of cultures generates a creative force, which is a major catalyst of leading innovation. Investment in the connection of these cultures produces a tangible return and measurable impact for the future.
Going Global 2015 will explore this through three perspectives.

• Academic discipline and subject cultures
• Organisational cultures
• National, regional and local cultures

The call for proposals for Going Global 2015 is now open.

We will accept proposals that facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience around the conference themes. We welcome unique perspectives, and are especially interested to hear about practical examples of how you have anticipated and responded to challenges and opportunities in your own work in education, in particular in an international context. Successful proposals will link policy and practice, for example by explaining how specific experiences in the education sector have informed policy developments.

You are invited to submit one of the following proposals:

  1. speaker (deadline – Friday 31 October 2014)
  2. poster (deadline – January 2015)
  3. chairperson (deadline – Friday 31 October 2014)
  4. guest curator (deadline - Friday 31 October 2014)

Proposals should respond to one or more of the questions under your chosen theme.

More information on how to apply can be found on the Going Global website: To increase the likelihood of your proposal being accepted, please ensure you read this information before submitting your proposal and follow the guidelines.
