Invitation for expressions of interest by UK universities to host participants from Middle Eastern and North African universities for study tour.  

Key dates

Deadline for expressions of interest: Friday 24 October 2014

Programme to be set by the end of October, with hands on organisation of the tour from November 2014 until January 2015.

The study tour will run at the end of January. Dates to be finalised. 


We are looking to partner with UK universities that are able to share and showcase examples of best practice in disability and inclusion.  We are looking for univerisities who can:

  • Demonstrate how the approaches they use facilitate increased access, learning and / or social support for disabled students.
  • Showcase specific programmes or research or training in particular areas of disability and / or technology-enhancements such that these facilitate better learning opportunities for students who are visually disabled, hearing impaired, physically disabled or who have learning disabilities or difficulties.  


Interested universities will need to demonstrate how the approaches they employ on campus demonstrate best practice and or innovative approaches that fit the description above.  

How to apply

Any interested universities should send a two-page (maximum) letter to Claire Grundy ( and Sally Ward (, detailing their approaches, specialisms and best practices; and why they would be willing to host the study tour. Contact details for a key contact person should also be provided.
