About this opportunity
Curriculum reform in higher education including English language teaching is top of the Uzbek Government’s agenda.
We are working in partnership with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan work to bring about systemic changes in English language teaching in higher education. We are looking for UK universities, education agencies or individual consultants to work on our latest project.
In 2016 the British Council, in partnership with the Ministry of higher and secondary specialised education, launched English for Specific Purposes (ESP) project to develop capacity and expertise to bring about systemic changes in how ESP is taught in all higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. To inform project planning, a national ESP baseline study has been commissioned in 2016-17.
The project involves all aspects of ESP reform including curriculum development, trainer and teacher training, material development and assessment. It will require up to five weeks of online and face to face consultancy and engagement with a highly motivated and professional project team in Uzbekistan.
