Going Global 2014 Keynote: Mind the gap - from here to the 22nd century
Tuesday 29 April 2014
Prof. Hans Rosling, Co-Founder and Chairman, Gapminder Foundation, Sweden
Going Global 2014 keynote address by Hans Rosling, presenting his unique look at population, demography and money. Professor Rosling demonstrates that educationalists, like the general population, understand neither the reality nor its implications – ‘there’s something wrong with your world view’. By the end of this century, the ‘old west’ will have less than 10% of the world’s population; 80% will be in Africa and Asia. The Indian Ocean will be the centre of global trade; the Atlantic Ocean a backwater. So what does this mean for higher education?
