Westminster Higher Education Forum Keynote Seminar

Tuesday 11 March 2014 - 00:00 London

Ruth Sinclair-Jones, Director for the UK National Agency Erasmus+, British Council, will be speaking on a panel entitled ‘The UK and Erasmus+ : increasing UK participation in learning, teaching, volunteering and work placements’ at the Westminster Higher Education Forum Keynote Seminar.

She will discuss what steps government and the HE sector can take to tackle the low number of British students taking advantage of European funding to study abroad. Specifically, she will consider whether the merging of various EU programmes for studying, work‐based learning, teaching and volunteering abroad into a single Erasmus+ programme can achieve the aim of increasing participation across these strands of mobility and what government and the EU can do to raise awareness of the range of options and available funding via Erasmus+, particularly amongst people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
