A UK delegation, including representatives from the British Council, will visit a number of US-based organisations and higher education institutions in Washington DC, Boston, New Orleans and Chicago.
This visit will provide an opportunity for education professionals and policy makers from the UK to strengthen their knowledge of higher education opportunities in the US and build connections with US institutions to facilitate future partnerships.
The UK delegation, selected by the US Embassy, will include representatives of: British Council, Cardiff University, Department for Business Innovation and Skills, Department for Employment Learning NI, Higher Education Funding Council Wales, International Unit, Manchester Met University, University of Nottingham, University of South Wales, and University of Warwick.
The visit will include briefings at a number of US-based organisations and higher education institutions, including, but not limited to:
- US Department of State, Bureau of Education & Cultural Affairs
- American Association of Community Colleges
- British Council USA
- Institute of International Education
- American University
- Goucher College
- AACRO Credit Evaluation Services
The US Educational Visitors Programme is a two week programme sponsored by the US Embassy in London in collaboration with the US-UK Fulbright Commission and will be administered in the United States by Cultural Vistas.
