About

British Council and the UK Higher Education International Unit are organising a roundtable discussion for the President of the Council of Higher Education, Turkey, Professor Çetinsaya and his delegation.

The roundtable will examine the UK’s quality assurance system and practices through discussions with representatives from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), the UK higher education sector and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).

The discussions will be an opportunity to share current policy and practice, and will contribute to the development of quality assurance within the higher education system in Turkey.

The main topics that will be covered during the round table discussions will be:

  • An overview of the UK’s quality assurance system.
  • Current quality assurance processes and practices in research and teaching.
  • Turkey’s policies and practices in quality assurance.
  • Putting quality assurance at the heart of international collaborations.

Aims

To examine the UK’s quality assurance system and practices with the aim of contributing to the quality assurance within the higher education sector in Turkey.

Speakers

Representatives from the QAA and higher education institutions from Turkey and the UK will discuss current policy and practices in quality assurance system of the UK higher education sector.
