The Sino-UK higher education collaboration on architecture design programme will be taking place in Harbin, China, with participation of six Chinese universities and three UK universities. The programme will include a students’ workshop on urban design of northern area of Harbin railway station, public lectures and a short-term internship for UK students in a local urban design institution.
This programme aims to promote higher education collaboration in the field of architecture between the UK and China, in both educational and business sectors.
For the education sector
This programme aims to provide UK and Chinese higher education institutions with an effective platform to build meaningful and sustainable co-operation within or even beyond the programme cycle.
For the business sector
To respond to both governments’ policies on the promotion of in-depth co-operation between not only government and educational institutions, but also industry, this programme works to create opportunities to link the architectural design institutes and other architecture related businesses with the education sector.
