Thessaloniki as an international education hub

Thursday 20 March 2014 -
09:15 to 20:30
New Thessaloniki City Hall

As part of the programme of events taking place to mark Thessaloniki as the European Youth Capital for 2014, the British Council in Greece has joined forces with the Μuncipality of Thessaloniki and the Navarino Network to organise a conference to discuss Thessaloniki’s potential to position itself as an international education hub.

Event aims and objectives:

The conference aims to present the Greek experience – with special emphasis on the Thessaloniki context – in internationalising higher education, to identify the issues which hamper the influx of international students and prospects for growth in the internationalisation of education, and also to present examples of good practice in countries that have succeeded in becoming world education hubs, taking the UK as our prime case study.

Who can attend?

The event is aimed at education specialists, representatives from state and private educational organisations and institutions, policy makers, influencers and government officials and of course the wider interested audience.
