This one day event will run from 9am - 1pm at the British Council offices in New Delhi.

John O'Leary, Member of the Executive Board for QS World University Rankings will be presenting on:

  • The framework for Asia Pacific rankings and the position of Indian universities.
  • Highlighting areas of strength and weakness of Indian institutions and suggesting ways to improve.

Aims

The event aims to:

  • Sensitise the audience on the importance of competing globally.
  • Collectively agree to proactively participate and share data with the big three ranking agencies (ARWU | QS | THE).
  • Highlight the importance of global partnerships / research collaborations/ student-faculty exchange programmes with top universities.
  • Collectively agree to appoint nodal contact point within each university for working on data collation for global rankings.

Suggestions and ideas from the event will feature in the three year agenda document being put together by FICCI to be presented to the newly elected government.
