Entitled 'Generation Science: Empowering Africa's future scientific leaders', the conference, hosted by PEI, will bring together over 200 delegates from business, academia, policy and civil society for an exciting day of expert panel discussions, interactive working groups and participant-led workshops.

Attendees will explore how to equip the continent’s next generation of business, political and academic leaders with the hard and soft skills required to drive much needed socio-economic transformation and anticipate the needs of industries of the future. PEI envisages a generation empowered by an understanding and appreciation of science and technology, with African challenges and opportunities addressed by African-led solutions. The British Council is sponsoring this event and Robert Monro, Engagement and Outreach manager | SPHEIR project, will be leading a workshop to promote the SPHEIR project from 11.30 – 13.00.
