The British Council will be hosting a five-day delegation of rectors and professors from Kazakhstani universities.
The week’s events will include briefings from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, the Higher Education Funding Council for England, the Quality Assurance Agency, UUK’s International Unit and visits to a number of higher education institutions, including the University of Wolverhampton, Middlesex University, University of Brighton, Kent University and Imperial College London.
The main objectives of this visit will be to enable the delegation to:
- become familiarised with the experience of the UK in modernising higher education, university governance and management with a focus on autonomy at the institutional and department levels
- to help enable academic and research activity at the institutional level
- to strengthen bilateral relations between universities in Kazakhstan and the UK with a view to developing joint Erasmus+ projects.
