Fifth international illustration research symposium: the itinerant illustrator
This symposium aims to:
- Create a space for the academic discussion of the praxis of illustration, including the histories of local/regional illustrative practices and the traversing of diverse media platforms.
- Expand the breadth of conversation about the illustration research which has begun in the UK. For further information on this, please visit www.illustrationresearch.co.uk
The accompanying exhibition will showcase the work of contemporary illustrators working in diverse media forms. This exhibition is open from 17 – 21 December 2014.
This event has been organised as a follow up to the India Design educators study tour of the UK in October 2013 and has been organised in collaboration with the British Council, the Journal of Illustration, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), and Cardiff School of Art and Design (CSAD).
