The purpose of this event is to enhance awareness and knowledge between the Egyptian and international higher education sectors, with a view to achieving greater engagement.
The British Council have organised this event in partnership with Alfanar Media. Alfanar media is a publication about Arab higher education, and a project of the Egyptian-led charity, the Alexandria Trust.
This event is for presidents of Egyptian universities.
The planned outcomes are for greater co-operation between the Egyptian and the international higher education communities, enhancing the experience of both, by:
- Encouraging international links between universities by providing examples of successful and sustainable international approaches.
- Inspiring Egyptian universities to work with employers locally, nationally and globally by providing international and local models and ideas for ways to do this.
- Sharing best practice and examples of dialogue that lead to productive discussion on-campus to reduce tension, recognising the challenges of political and social change for university leaders.
