Global Education Dialogues: From catapults to commercialisation
How can universities use their knowledge and research more effectively?
This Global Education Dialogue is in partnership with Universities UK and Universities Australia
The creation of physical centres for innovation that connect businesses with the best of national and international research and academic communities have proven highly effective in the drive to commercialise knowledge and research. The UK has created national Catapult Centres; these seven centres bring together expertise from a range of universities and businesses to create a transformational network for innovation in sustainable development areas such as offshore renewable energy and future cities.
Using these centres as a springboard for discussion, this event aims to tackle these questions:
- What is the role of universities and business?
- How are countries in East Asia responding to the quest for innovation and commercialisation?
